We offer many workshops, with more being added all the time. Our beautiful space gives us the opportunity to do this, and it is fun to get together. Please watch this website for current offerings. If you have ideas or are interested in teaching a workshop, please let us know.

  • Weave Away Week

    Have you ever wondered whether weaving is a craft for you?  This is the perfect opportunity to find out.  Come to the Rhode Island Weaving Center and weave a cotton dish towel that you will finish in three hours and take home with you for years of enjoymen

  • Turned Taqueté

    A perfect opportunity to step into the fun of color as the basis for exploring pattern and geometry in weaving.

  • Double Rainbow Doubleweave

    Jennifer Moore will be offering her popular Double Rainbow Doubleweave class ONLINE through the Rhode Island Weaving Center. The class begins in January.

  • Summer 2025 Towelarama

    A special event for graduates of our Beginning Weaving and 3-Day Weekend Weaving Classes. Join us for the month of June and weave 4 dishtowels.

  • Adult & Child Potholder and Pop Workshop

    Join us for 2 hours of fun and make an extra large potholder.

  • Ladies Night - Looms and Loops

    Spend a relaxing evening with friends and family - and make an extra large potholder!

  • Paper Flower Folding Workshop

    Learn to make beautiful folded flowers - a sure sign of spring.

  • Needle Felting Workshop

    Learn needle felting techniques while making a dryer ball or an ornament. This is a fun way to spend 3 hours!

  • REP Weave Workshop

    In this 2 1/2 day workshop you will learn classic and non-traditional forms of REP Weave. We will explore differences in materials, sett, and design techniques.

  • Navajo Weaving

    Join us for this 4-day workshop. You will learn Navajo weaving techniques, make a small woven rug, and gain an appreciation of Navajo culture. There are two workshop dates.

  • Summer and Winter Workshop

    Understand the endless possibilities of the Summer and Winter weave structure on a four shaft loom. Starting with tie-ups and ending with polychrome, there will be plenty of time for each student to weave a sampler.

  • Three-Dimensional Tapestry Masks

    This is a one-day workshop for people who are comfortable with basic tapestry techniques and warping the loom…

  • Kaleidoscope Origami Workshop

    Learn to make kaleidoscope origami medallions. Kaleidoscope origami medallions can be used to make magnets and gift cards, and can decorate gift bags. They can be framed as a gift as well as used in scrapbooks and photo albums.

  • Visible Mending

    Have you been looking for a way to use visible mending to repair your hand knit garments? Maybe some of your favorite clothes need a little love (ours always do!) and you want to learn how to easily darn socks or mend a hole in a sweater?

  • Beaded Bracelet Workshop

    Learn to make beaded bracelets. You will make one bracelet in class and receive enough materials to make a second one at home.
