Children will explore tapestry weaving, strap weaving, potholder weaving and paper weaving during the 2.5 hour morning workshops.

Fine motor skills will be practiced.
These include:

eye-hand coordination and concentration

problem-solving skills

understanding of patterns and sequencing

language skills such as naming colors, and language concepts such as 'in,' 'out,' 'up,' 'down' etc

  • Cost: $165/session/child
    plus $20 material fee.
    Snacks (Nabisco cheese and cracker) and water will be provided. Maximum 8 children

Elizabeth Springett is Principal and Creative Director at WovenSeas Weaving Studio located in Warren RI. WovenSeas is a textile maker space specializing in woven cloths such as towels, placemats, rugs, scarves and shawls, all of natural fibers. Teacher, colorist, designer, and sales, Elizabeth manages all aspects of the textile studio and shop, both online and in person. Elizabeth loves color and texture and gathers much inspiration from the land, sea, and sky while biking along East Bay.
