Kaleidoscope Origami Workshop

(Tea Bag Folding)

Leslie Mahler

Workshop Completed

Next Offering TBD

Learn to make kaleidoscope origami medallions. Kaleidoscope origami medallions can also be used to make magnets and gift cards, and can decorate gift bags. They can be framed as a gift as well as used in scrapbooks and photo albums. Making kaleidoscope origami medallions differs from standard origami because you use glue and decorative paper. Teabag folding is a craft that lends itself to invention and personal expression.  Once you master some basic folds you can create other shapes using similar techniques.

  • You will learn how to make kaleidoscope origami medallions. You will make two medallions during the workshop and the materials to make two additional medallions at home.

  • Please bring a pair of scissors and your favorite glue.

  • $50. Workshop cost includes all materials (teabag folding paper, brads, matting, cards and envelopes).

Instructor
Leslie Mahler

Leslie has been folding for 10 years and loves sharing the craft with others.

Leslie is a lifelong knitter who learned to knit from her mother.  She moved to Boulder, Colorado and went to buy yarn at a local store called Shuttles, Spindles, and Skeins.  Little did she know that purchasing yarn there would lead to spinning and weaving classes and the eventual purchase of her own spinning wheel and looms.  Leslie loves discovering how different fibers and colors combine in weaving patterns to create art.
